Ultimate Play the Game apps
Celebrating the 30th Anniversary of Jet Pac and Ultimate

It was 30 years ago that Tim and Chris Stamper released their first games under the Ultimate Play the Game (Ultimate) brand for the Sinclair ZX Spectrum 16K.
Jet Pac was the first and was quickly followed up by PSSST. Both of these games pushed the pioneering home computer to its limit by wringing out every ounce of the Spectrum’s RAM and CPU.
The game graphics for that time were truly beautiful, fluid and fast. Game reviewers lapped up the games giving them outstanding marks. Like several of the Ultimate games, Jet Pac was and still is regarded as a classic. In 1983, the ‘Computer & Video Games’ annual Golden Joystick Awards awarded Jet Pac ‘Game of the Year’, PSSST came runner up for ‘Best Original Game’ and Ultimate Play the Game was awarded ‘Software House of the Year’, not a bad start for a new company!!!
